The Family of Jarrett Melton "Mint" Ragsdale

Jarrett Melton Ragsdale 1856-1906 of Arkansas was my great grandfather. He was the son of John Ragsdale 1825-1860 who was born in either Tennessee or Georgia, married Elizabeth Campbell and died in Montgomery County, Arkansas. I would love more information about John and Elizabeth Ragsdale in order to trace my Ragsdale family line further.See More

FRANCES RAGSDALE S.C. & GA

I am trying to trace my 2nd great grandmothers lineage. France Ragsdale born abt 1810 in South Carolina. She married in Newton County, Georgia on 3 Feb 1829 to my 2nd Great Grandfather William B. Walters. I have located their marriage record and the 1830 & 1840 census, but have not been able to locate them after the 1840 census.In the 1830 & 1840 census in Newton Co GA, there is Francis A Ragsdale, Elijah Ragsdale, and Larkin Ragsdale in the same area.
